Artist Bio

Pauline Levy Lazzarini

Pauline was born in 1950 in El Salvador and her family moved up to Sonoma County in 1959.  She has been interested in art as far back as she can remember.
She studied locally and attended Santa Rosa Junior College in the late 60's.  Then she moved to Santa Cruz and attended San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz, returning to Sonoma County in the mid 70's and eventually graduating from Sonoma State with a BA in Art.
During her studies she also traveled around the world, living a year in Europe. She was also a potter for several years while living in Santa Cruz and when she first moved to Sonoma County.
She studied and practiced Photography during her time at Sonoma State, and for several years afterwards.  After marrying and raising 2 children she returned to drawing and painting and, for 24 years, taught both Art and Spanish.
She presently teaches Art to children and adults at a private studio in Rohnert Park called SAG.
She continues to paint, mainly in oils.

"I have a wild imagination and love to use it for my paintings.  If I can make someone smile when they look at my work, I have accomplished my goal."
